4

Purchase Ticket

Each play costs $2.00 at any authorized retailer. Online purchasing is available in some states.

What the Math Actually Says

The Mathematical Reality

Equal Probability: Every number combination has exactly the same odds - 1 in 292,201,338. There's no such thing as a "hot" combination.

Independent Draws: Past results have zero effect on future draws. Each draw is completely independent.

Certified Randomness: Powerball uses certified random number generators that meet strict regulatory standards.

Practical Tips

Play Within Your Budget: Treat it as entertainment. The expected return on a $2 ticket is well below $2.

Check Your Numbers: Always verify your ticket against the draw results - don't rely on memory.

Sign Your Ticket: Sign the back immediately after purchase. An unsigned ticket can be claimed by anyone who finds it.

Claim on Time: Winning tickets expire. Check your state's claim deadline and don't miss it.
